RADAC - Amazing river fishing in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Enjoy over ten miles of stunning game fishing on the upper reaches of the beautiful river Swale. Set in the dramatic and idyllic scenery of Swaledale and within the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Reeth and District Angling Club have been organising and coordinating fishing locally for 25 years and has access to 5 separate fishing beats on the river stretching from Muker in the west to Ellerton/Stainton in the east and taking in local places such as Ellerton Abby, Marrick Abbey, Grinton, Healaugh, Low Row, Gunnerside, Satron and Ivelet bridge. Fishing is exclusively for brown trout with fly-fishing being the predominant method, although other catching methods are allowed as directed by the club rules. The Gunnerside and Ellerton estate beats being given over to fly-fishing exclusively.

• BEAT MAPS - New PDF download of the official RADAC Beats has been added to the Downloads page. • CATCH RETURNS - It is now a condition of our lease with the Gunnerside Estate that the club submit an annual catch return. PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL RETURNS ARE SENT TO THE SECRETARY TO ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 2nd DECEMBER. As a minimum the club need to know how many fish you caught, how many your returned and the beat where they were caught. Other detail such as date caught, and size (length) would be useful too. A catch return form can be downloaded from the website or just send a letter by the specified date. • MEMBERSHIP DURATION - It should be noted that membership starts on the 1st January and runs continuously for 12 months until 31st December; It is not coincident with the trout fishing season. Members are requested to ensure that they renew their membership punctually ASAP after New Years day. • Associate Membership applications are closed - maximum quota reached. • IMPORTANT NOTE - As of 2nd April 2013, Hugh Adams will take over the post of club secretary. Bag limit - A maximum of two fish can be taken per day.

Size limit - The minimum length of any taken fish shall be 10 inches (from snout to fork of tail).
